Our Full-Service Moving and Packing Services in Los Angeles
Whether you're relocating to a one-bedroom apartment in Hollywood or a four-bedroom home in the Valley, we handle every part of the process.
-
Our crew arrives with double-wall boxes, dish-pack kits, stretch film, paper, and bubble wrap. Full, partial, and fragile-items-only packing are all standard.
-
Bed frames, sectional sofas, modular shelving, and dining tables are disassembled when needed, wrapped, and rebuilt at your new home. Hardware stays with its piece.
-
Loading, Transport, and Delivery
Every item is padded, wrapped, and loaded so nothing shifts in transit. One team and one truck stay with your belongings from pickup through delivery.
-
On request, we unpack at the destination, place everything where you want it, and take all materials away. Most LA movers treat unpacking as an afterthought.
-
If your new home isn't ready the day you move out, or downsizing needs time, we coordinate storage as part of the move, short-term or long-term.
Full-Service Moving and Packing Stories from Our Clients
Before-During-After the Move
01. Before the Move — Estimate, Plan, and Confirm
-
Estimate & Video Walkthrough
Request a quote by phone, form, or video. We assess your home, inventory, and building requirements and return a detailed, itemized estimate.
-
Building Requirements
We’ll go over your building’s elevator windows, COI requirements, parking logistics, and any HOA or access rules, and build your move plan around them.
-
Move Plan Confirmation
Crew size, timeline, packing scope, and logistics are locked in before moving day. Nothing is left open on arrival.
02. Packing Day — Materials, Method, and Care
-
Room-by-Room Packing
If requested, the crew arrives with all materials and packs your home systematically. Every box is labeled by room and contents, and fragile items are wrapped individually.
-
Specialty Item Protection
Dishes, electronics, mirrors, and artwork go in dedicated boxes. Furniture is padded and wrapped before anything moves toward the truck.
-
Same-Day Packing & Loading
If scheduled together, packing and loading are sequenced for efficiency with no downtime between phases.
03. Moving Day — Loading, Transport, and Delivery
-
Secure Loading & Transport
Every item is padded, wrapped, and loaded to prevent shifting. One team, one truck, one chain of responsibility from start to finish.
-
Route-Planned Delivery
Routes planned around LA traffic and your building's access schedule for on-time arrival at destination.
-
Long-Distance Coordination
For moves across California or out of state, logistics are managed end-to-end with updates throughout transit.
04. After the Move — Unpacking, Setup, and Follow-Up
-
Room-by-Room Placement
Furniture goes where you want it. Boxes go to the right rooms. Everything is reassembled and positioned before we consider the job done.
-
Full Unpacking & Material Removal
If requested, we open every box, place items, and clear all packing materials. You walk into a home that's ready to live in, not a warehouse of boxes.
-
Post-Move Follow-Up
We check in after every move to confirm everything went as planned. If anything needs attention, we handle it directly.
How Much Does Full-Service Moving with Packing Cost in Los Angeles?
Costs vary by home size, packing scope, building access conditions, and the services you add. Based on hundreds of LA full-service moves, here are typical ranges:
| Move Type | Typical Range |
|---|---|
| Studio with full packing | $400 – $1,100+ |
| One-bedroom with full packing | $500 – $1,500+ |
| Two-bedroom with full packing | $1000 – $2,000+ |
| Three-bedroom with full packing | $1200 – $2,800+ |
| Four-bedroom or larger | On-site estimate; typically $2,500 – $4,500+ |
| High-rise / complex building access | Add $150 – $400 depending on COI, elevator window, and carry distance |
You’ll receive a detailed, itemized estimate upfront. The number we give you reflects your actual move, not a generic figure that looks low before the real invoice arrives.
What affects your final cost:
- Crew size required for your home volume and building conditions
- How much packing is needed, and which materials are used
- Floor level and elevator versus stair access
- Carry distance from your door to the truck
- COI requirements, loading dock logistics, or restricted moving hours
- Long-distance surcharges, if applicable
- Unpacking services, storage coordination, or specialty item handling

What Full-Service Moving with Packing Actually Covers, and What Most LA Movers Leave Out
A standard moving company loads your belongings and transports them to your new home. A full-service moving company can also handle packing, unpacking, and other details that make your move easier, if requested.
That means arriving with boxes, packing paper, bubble wrap, and specialty materials already in the truck. Packing every room, including the kitchen, closets, fragile items, and flat-screen televisions, before anything gets loaded. Disassembling furniture that won't clear a doorway or elevator opening. Wrapping and protecting everything before it moves an inch.
It also means unpacking at the other end. This doesn’t mean stacking boxes in your living room and calling it done. Rather, it’s actually unpacking your belongings, placing everything approximately where you want it, and removing every box and packing material before we leave. You walk into a home that's ready to live in.
Most moving companies in Los Angeles will move your boxes, but our team at Best California Movers handles the entire move, so you don't have to.

01 What does full-service moving with packing include?
Full-service moving with Best California Movers includes professional packing of your entire home with all materials provided by our crew, furniture disassembly and protective wrapping, loading and transport, unloading and reassembly at the destination, full unpacking of your belongings, and removal of all packing materials. You can opt for the full package or choose individual components, and your estimate reflects exactly what you’ve selected.
02 Can I choose partial packing instead of full-home packing?
Yes. We offer full packing, partial packing, and fragile-items-only packing. If you want to pack most rooms yourself and have us handle the kitchen, artwork, electronics, and breakables, that’s a standard request. Simply tell us what you need when you request your estimate, and we’ll structure the service accordingly.
03 Do you unpack, or just drop off boxes at the destination?
We offer complete unpacking as a named service. We unpack your belongings, place everything approximately where you want it, and remove all packing materials before we leave. You don’t manage the box pile afterward. Ask about unpacking when you request your estimate. This is a separate service with a cost that depends on the volume of items being unpacked.
04 Does my building require a Certificate of Insurance from the moving company?
Many buildings in Los Angeles, especially high-rises, condo associations, and managed apartment complexes, require the moving company to provide a COI before granting access. We provide COIs as a standard part of our service. When you book, tell us your building’s requirements so we can issue the documentation in the format it asks for.
05 How far in advance should I book a full-service move in Los Angeles?
We recommend booking 2 to 4 weeks in advance, if possible. This is especially important for moves between May and September, which is peak moving season in California. If you need to move sooner, contact us. We accommodate last-minute scheduling when capacity allows, sometimes within a few days.
06 Are your movers company employees or subcontractors?
All of our movers are direct company employees who are background-checked, trained, and experienced. We don’t use day laborers or subcontractors. The team you speak with when you book is connected to the same crew that arrives at your door.
07 Do you offer financing for full-service moves?
Yes. We offer financing options that let you spread your moving costs over time rather than paying everything up front. We’re happy to discuss our available plans when you request your estimate.
08 What happens if something is damaged during the move?
We’re fully licensed, bonded, and insured. Basic valuation protection is included at no additional cost. We’ll walk you through your options during your consultation so you can make an informed decision before moving day.
09 Can you move specialty or oversized items?
Yes. We regularly handle flat-screen televisions, glass-top furniture, artwork, pianos, antiques, and other items that require extra care or specialized equipment. Let us know what you have when you request your estimate, and we’ll ensure the crew arrives prepared.
10 What if my building has elevator restrictions or limited moving hours?
We work within your building’s requirements, not around them. When you book, tell us about any restrictions, such as dedicated elevator windows, restricted moving hours, and loading dock rules, and we’ll build your move plan around those conditions from the start.
